Cyprus Limni Resorts & Golfcourses Plc

Since 2007, Woolworth effectively owns 46,8% of the share capital of Cyprus Limni Resorts and GolfCourses Plc.

Cyprus Limni Resorts and GolfCourses Plc, a company of the Shacolas Group, is the owner of “Limni”, a property with an area of approximately three and a half million square meters on the northwest coast of Cyprus. The property is located at the centre of the Chrysochou Bay and it combines the lovely scenery of pine tree hills and olive tree plantations in an unspoiled environment and the warm seawaters of its sandy beaches with an all-year round mild climate. Starting right from the beach with a sea-frontage of 760 metres, the property extends into the hinterland in a varied and contrasting landscape, from level to smoothly undulating land.

Given the popularity of Cyprus as a tourist destination, the Company has decided to use its land for the development of a high quality, integrated mixed-use resort development, to include international standard five star luxury hotel, a resort village, real estate villas, apartments and townhouses, two signature championship golf courses, a health spa, beach facilities, restaurants, bars, retail and entertainment activities, nature trails, a mining museum and heritage centre and other leisure facilities. Special care has been taken to protect the national characteristics of the area and to do everything required for developing the natural environment.

The Company has already obtained the permits by the Government of Cyprus for the development of two golf courses. For the above development, in order to create a premium the Company has employed the services of top international master planners, golf courses architects and other consultants such as EDSA, Nicklaus Design, Gary Player Design and others.

The above mentioned land area includes an area of about 280.000 square meters on the hill of Kinousa village, next to the government protected forest, which will be developed separately as a health and convalescence resort in the near future.
